- This product sounds the backing (reverse-gear) alert using your vehicle's factory keyless-entry buzzer.
- Keep in mind that brand new cars that have just come out may not have been confirmed by us and may have been altered by the car maker, rendering them incompatible with the HV-300.
- Cars manufactured outside Japan have not been confirmed by us and could be incompatible.
- If you want to install the HV-300 along with another OBD device or if you simply want to keep your factory OBD connector open (hiding the HV-300's OBD connection), you will need to purchase our optional OB-22W or OB-23W splitter harness.
- The HV-300 may be incompatible with some 3rd party OBD devices connected at the same time. In our testing and experience, the HV-300 has never caused malfunction of the car or of any 3rd party OBD products installed in the same car; however, some 3rd party OBD products may cause the HV-300 to malfunction if they are badly designed. Specifically, if a 3rd party OBD device constantly sends data to the vehicle ECU, the HV-300 may be unable to communicate with the ECU (since vehicle ECU's are not multitasking computers), causing the HV-300 to operate unexpectedly.
